Landscape Barn

Twin Barns. F14.0 .6 Sec ISO 100. Bracket -2, 0, +2 HDR. I Shot this picture as part of shooting pictures in one focal length 60mm for the day. The day was very bright and I kept getting blown out areas. I attached a ND x4 filter which seem to workbut I wanted more detail on the barn. I bracketed the shot and processed in HDR. It sort of reminds me of a painting. I wish the clouds were a little more whiter.

  1. Really liked the composition along with the HDR effect. Twin barns give it a lovely perspective. Like the curve of the stream also. Very nice

  2. I really like this shot - it does look almost like a painting - love the clouds- the colors add detail to the sky I think

  3. I agree about the painting part. It has an almost "other worldly" look to it. Very nice.
Note to self: Got to learn the whole HDR thing.

  4. LOVE that you are experimenting with HDR. We have to be careful though, because there is a fine line between adding detail back into highlights & shadows to enhance a contrasty scene or going to far and making the image appear 'gimmicky". Like the composition. Too increase sense of depth you could make a curve layer and darken the foreground greenery a little, as well as the water.
