Photojournalism is how I would classify the majority of my photos and my
default style of shooting. What I see missing the most in my photos is
a unique perspective on the action and the capture of motion and
emotion. I have lately been studying the work of the masters of
photojournalism and see that I have a lifetime of practice and hard work
ahead of me.
As I looked through my photo library, I was reminded of how much I was drawn to photographing people at work. If approached as a subset of photojournalism, there is the challenge of distilling the essence of the individual and the work itself into a few photographs.
