Deana ~ Landscape
f/13 ~ ISO 160 ~ 1/125 The last few weeks I have had very particular ideas for the photography challenges...and again this week I didn't manage to get the picture I had in mind. Dave encouraged me to go out tonight and go with his idea/location. And I shot this and I like it. I need to be more open minded for challenges....neon will be plan be in the next few days with no rain in the forecast. The light (as Dave knew we would find) was great for the old barn. I thought my histogram was well balanced. In raw I added a little bit of black and thought the image was good. I took several shots and watched where I framed it.

Ooooo. Love the colors/light. Looks like a Renaissance painting. Nice composition too!
ReplyDeleteGreat exposure, balanced between sky and foreground. You have captured details in the shadows and there are no blow out highlights. Great time of day to be shooting. How do you think you could have made this image come alive even more???? I wonder if you had been able to figure out a way to have the grass in the foreground moving and slow the shutter to capture 'motion blur" (maybe have Dave run through it), would have added more interest??
ReplyDeleteTotally aggree with the motion...it was a thought at the time. I think that should be my next challenge. Sorta like bluring the water.... I think.
