Dave - Landscape

I found a new app on my phone that tracks the sun and moon movement. Some of it's features is that it gives the exact time of the "Golden Hour". We took a drive to Hood Canal and right on time the clouds parted and the sun was at the perfect angle. F16, 1/60, ISO 125
While at a ceremony honoring my dad today we wanted to do a group picture. The Sheriff graciously offered to hold my mom's things so that she could be in the photo. I couldn't pass up the chance to take this photo of him holding her purse. In the 1/125 of a second that the shutter was activated I realized that it was probably the same instant that the Sheriff  would decide to demote me.

  1. I particularly the perspective looking up the silo - and the colors are great! Enough shadow to give it dimension.
Now, as for the other photo - that happy face suggests a "Dirty Harry" persona. Are your resumes out? Actually, not bad lighting that enhances his features.

  2. Sheriff Snaza is a good guy and a good sport, I wouldn't worry! And I also like the texture and angle of the silo.

  3. HE-HE - OMG - That's a great 'in the moment' capture of SNAZA's not so happy expression! Whenever I photograph him he is ALWAYS posing, smiling and looking like he's right out of GQ. PEERRFFCCCT. HA-HA - AND DON:T you worry - he'll only fire you if you post the image of him with his 'MAN purse" on Facebook at election time.
