Seascape

Frank
ISO 400 f16 1/500 40mm focal length - My original intent was to photographe the North head Light House but I couldn't get anything different from every other time I've gone there.  I found this scene at Cape Disappointment more to my liking though I would rather have been later in the day.  My motivation came from the need to submit something this week.

  1. I love the vivid colors. Did you use a filter? The log in the foreground adds so much to the photo. The blue sky made the water look so inviting. A lovely photo. I've never been to this light house and the picture makes me want to visit.

  4. I Like the "organic-ness" of this image. THe repeating curves of the hills add a calmness and serenity to the scene. Do you think the foreground shape is too bright because it is so large, in front and holds the viewers attention? I wonder if decreasing the exposure and lessening the contrast would make this huge shape be less dominant and play a more subordinate role in the composition?
