Vashon Island Garden Tour. I attempted to capture the quiet intensity and thoughtfulness of my fellow garden-goers as they gawked at, carefully studied or otherwise took in five magnificent residential gardens. Photographing people is not something I do regularly, and again found it to be a challenge to capture any evocative moments. *Please note that I did not get individual permission to publish the photos.
Nice! I think your first photo especially captured the "quiet intensity and thoughtfulness" you were wanting. I also LOVE the colored chairs and your choice to end with the Plumtree Sick Club sign.
ReplyDeleteinteresting group of images. Like how you added the expressive human element into each one. The sign is priceless! What did you learn about photographing people? What would you do differently next time? Why do you generally not photograph people? DO you think the images would as interesting if the subject was just gardens without the people?
